What kind of designers are you looking for?

We’re looking for fashion designers who don’t just imagine great fashion, they create it. If you can design, pattern, cut, and sew your own garments, this is your chance to showcase your talent.

 

Am I allowed to post my audition video on social media (FB, Insta, YouTube etc.)

NO. Due to the confidential nature of the series, you must keep your application, video and photo submission(s) private and confidential.

 

When should I apply?

Do NOT wait for the deadline to apply. The closer you get to the deadline, the fewer audition spots are available. We are auditioning as applications come in. 

 

I'm a Permanent Resident in Canada. Can I still apply?

Yes. All Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents may apply.

 

I applied last season, can I apply again this year?

Of course! We definitely recommend using new portfolio photos, and new submission videos. Applications from previous seasons will not be considered though. You must apply again. 

 

I made it to the audition round last season, can I apply again this year?

We'd love to see you apply again. 

 

I don't currently live in Canada, can I still apply?

Yes, we can consider Canadian Citizens who currently live abroad. 

 

Will I hear back either way?

Only candidates selected for auditions will be contacted. 

 

Do I need to submit a professional video?

Absolutely not! Anything shot on your smartphone is just fine. We are looking for YOU, not the quality of the audition video or the editing. 

 

I got an audition! How should I prepare?

All auditions will be via Zoom. Ideally you will be in your workspace. We request you have 1 look to show off and talk about. Ensure you have a strong WIFI signal and bright lighting. We will let you know if we need to make any adjustments.
